To support ACI’s expanding focus on technology and innovation, the CIC collaborates with the concrete community and ACI's Director of Concrete Technology to examine and support innovative solutions for industry-wide challenges. The council is comprised of a diverse set of industry representatives - material suppliers, architecture & engineering firms, contractors, academics, owners and regulatory organizations.
The field of concrete materials, building, and structures is continually infused with new ideas and practices. New materials, products, methods, designs, and equipment impact the way infrastructure and buildings are constructed. Do you have a transformative idea or initiative that can positively impact the industry?

The ACI Foundation’s Guide for Innovators can benefit anyone seeking to offer a new technology/innovation to the industry, inventors who need help in determining what level their technology is and path to acceptance/use, and ACI or Industry Members who want to highlight a need or a solution to an existing need in the industry.
This free downloadable document was created to inform ACI members and the industry about the ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council and what actions the Foundation might take when supporting a new technology or innovation.
Organized by the ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council (CIC), the Concrete Innovation Forum is meant to showcase new materials, products, design & engineering methods or quality control and test methods that positively impact the way concrete buildings and infrastructure are designed and constructed. This annual event 2.5-day event also fosters education and networking. Typical attendance is around 80 people and Forums usually occur in August. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with a diverse array of professionals, including material suppliers, architects, engineers, contractors, academics, executives, and regulatory agency representatives.
